Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager/Legal Assistant to oversee our team and the daily operations of our fast paced disability law firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently, providing support to staff, and managing various administrative tasks.
- Oversee 6 paralegal/legal assistants at a well-known disability law firm.
- Closely work with 3 attorneys in a dynamic and fast-paced social security disability and veterans service connected benefits practice.
- Master Prevail case management system.
- Order Supplies.
- Substantial Client Contact to update files and request medical records on cases.
- Submit evidence electronically to SSA's Electronic Records Express (ERE).
- Contact with staff at the Social Security Administration/Veterans Administration.
- Deal with difficult clients on the phone and walk-ins without appointments.
- Handle human resources tasks such as onboarding new employees, maintaining employee records.
- Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures, such as time/attendance policy, while promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Assist owner with screening/interviewing future employees.
Qualifications:
- Prior Management experience required with strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent team management capabilities to lead and motivate staff effectively.
- Oversee team by fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong calendar management abilities to optimize schedules efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be reliable as to time and attendance.
- A self-starter and a quick learner.
- At least 2 years of prior law firm experience.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while managing diverse office needs.
- BA/BS required.
